Michael Barros

Chief Executive Officer

Michael joined Diamond Mind in early 2014 to focus on accelerating Diamond Mind’s growth strategy. Michael, like Diamond Mind, considers himself a member of the independent school community after having attended independent schools from K-12, and having lived on an independent school’s campus for more than 20 years. Prior to Diamond Mind, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at JackBe where lead the business strategy through revenue generation by identifying long-term profitable markets to deliver leading products and services.

Prior to JackBe, Michael was the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Inlet from 2009 to 2011 and led both record growth and the acquisition by Cisco where he was the Global Director of Sales, Marketing, and Channel Partners.

Prior to investing 10 years of his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he quickly rose to Director, Michael started his career running his own consulting company. At PwC, he was recognized as a thought leader in strategy formulation, and led a number of worldwide corporate strategy engagements across a diverse set of industries. In 2000, he shifted to a start-up in the DC area, Artesia Digital Media Group, and served as vice president of sales leading record growth.

Michael graduated with an MBA in Strategy Formation and Finance from the University of Chicago, and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Management and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University where he also served on the board of trustees.

 

Patrick McGlynn

Senior Vice President of Sales and Strategy

Pat joined Diamond Mind in 2015 to lead the sales organization and develop growth strategy.  With a varied background including stints in the higher education and corporate online learning industries, Pat is excited to be a part of the K-12 private school community. Prior to Diamond Mind, Pat led sales and marketing at CorpU, a firm enabling innovative online learning and leadership development programs at F500 corporations. At the Advisory Board Co., he led a sales organization consulting directly with higher education leaders on their key challenges and strategic priorities. Previously, Pat spent nine years at the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) in prominent sales and marketing leadership roles, driving record sales performance and consulting with C-level executives on best practice implementation across a wide variety of industries and functions. While at CEB, he successfully launched 15 new executive programs in 4 years, built a new business in the middle-market, and implemented numerous sales enablement innovations.

Before moving to Koch Industries, Pat began his career with Exxon Company, U.S.A. for six years, developing operational knowledge and business development expertise, after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, from Clemson University. In addition to leading sales teams, Pat currently teaches sales as an adjunct faculty member at The Catholic University of America.

Patricia Johnson

Vice President, Client Services

Patricia joined Diamond Mind’s client services team in 2011 after nearly eight years in the banking industry. During her time in banking, Patricia held multiple roles at both local and national banks. Among them, she was a branch manager focusing on business banking, operational quality and elite customer care. Her specific branches had the reputation of being ranked within the top ten percent of all the greater DC area locations for customer satisfaction, while she successfully managed a portfolio of over $200M in deposits. Her banking experience lends greatly to assisting clients with ease and confidence on urgent and complex account inquiries. Patricia studied at George Washington University, and has a concentration in Sociology and English literature.

Bobby Tahir

Vice President, Engineering

Bobby joined Diamond Mind in 2014 to focus on leading the development of our technology and engineering solutions. Prior to Diamond Mind, he served as a Technical Consultant to technology startups, and was the Chief Technology Officer at Envictus where he was responsible for the development of the company’s flagship educational software suite for K-12 students and schools. He also worked as a Consultant for Nortel Professional Services and as a software engineer at Mitretek Systems. Bobby brings over 10 years of technology leadership and software development experience in the K-12 and consumer markets. Bobby studied at Virginia Tech, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.
