Lead Gen Specialist

As a Lead Generation Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to source Sales Qualified Leads to drive company revenue. Leads will be identified through your own outbound calling as well as marketing efforts from a variety of channels including conferences and events, email and direct mail, inbound phone calls, and web inquiries. When a lead becomes marketing qualified, you will be responsible for nurturing the lead to Sales Qualified Lead status and handing the lead over to the Sales team.

This means being as informed and responsive to their specific needs as possible in our all our content, communication and interactions in a manner that enhances our brand.  Our lead nurturing strategies will position Diamond Mind as a thought leader who understands their systems, partners, realities, and unique challenges.

We are looking for a self-motivated professional with strong organizational skills, an ability to learn quickly, strategic thought processes, and a nurturing and diplomatic personality, with polished and professional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate 40 to 60 outbound calls a day, utilizing the one-on-one marketing principles and leveraging the researched data provided.
  • Initiate 30-40 customized emails to potential prospects
  • Manage a geographical territory through reporting in Sugar
  • Execute the lead nurturing plans under the supervision of the Manager of Lead Generation.
  • Monitor response to lead nurturing in HubSpot and elsewhere and proactively suggest modification to the lead nurturing plan as needed.
  • Understanding brand positioning and importance of adherence to the brand.
  • Cultivate sales readiness, through actively working the leads and marketing qualified leads under a Lead Nurturing strategy you design and agree with the Manager of Lead Generation.
  • Set up appointments for Sales Representative once leads have met the Sales Qualified criteria.
  • Document all activity in Sugar.
  • Keep current with industry knowledge and best practices.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

  • Number of calls made per “calling day”.
  • Number of Marketing Qualified Leads generated.
  • Number of Sales Qualified Leads passed to the Sales Team.
  • Adherence to company positioning and appropriate use of facts when initiating dialogue.
  • Skill in developing and proposing effective lead nurturing plans that result in Sales Qualified Leads.
  • Skills in professionalism through communication.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university (marketing concentration a plus).
  • Smart
  • Sales or lead generation experience a plus
  • Passionate about the customer.
  • Desire to grow personally and professionally.
  • Polite, professional and customer-focused.
  • Must be collaborative, cooperative and willing to share information with the team.
  • Flexible; must be willing to grow and develop as the company continues to evolve
  • Strong attention to detail; must be able and willing to document and keep detailed notes on all activity using a CRM system (Sugar).
  • Creative and tenacious; must be willing to think outside of the box and think on your feet
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to work collaboratively with the team internally and outline the value proposition to external customers.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Positive team player who inspires others, builds strong relationships, and is fun to work with.

  • The position is based in Potomac, MD with limited or no travel required.
