Inside Sales – Account Executive

As an Inside Sales – New Account Executive, you will become an integral part of a sales team that will drive more than 400 new school accounts per year.  You will be given warm leads that are generated by our marketing department or are referrals driven by our reputation in our niche market, and will also make cold calls to fill your pipeline. You will learn our business through comprehensive on boarding and will continually increase your knowledge through formal cross-training opportunities each month.  You will be customer focused, passionate about helping our clients and driven to increase our extraordinary 98.5% customer retention rate. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing our prospects through the entire sales process: prospecting for new leads and responding to a warm leads, an introductory call, a detailed discovery meeting, an on line product demonstration, proposal delivery and contract signing.
  • Executing a sales plan that aligns with the corporate growth objectives by driving sales and increasing revenue.
  • Consistently tracking, recording and managing a sales pipeline in adherence with approved CRM requirements.
  • During the sales and relationship building process, demonstrating creative and effective “strategic and tactical thinking” while making wise use of all company resources including, marketing collateral, webinars, internal knowledge and internal experts.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the services we sell and how we help our clients to cut costs and streamline operations.
  • Using probing questions and a consultative sales process to craft and communicate our value proposition.
  • Using exceptional listening skills to uncover customers’ needs, identify and empathize with those needs and empower customers by providing them with solutions through our services.
  • Acting as a customer advocate while positively positioning the company at all times.
  • Consistently reporting on pipeline, status of the business and forecast contract signings.
  • Serving on various ad hoc internal teams of interest to help the company continually improve and manage growth.

Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university (business concentration a plus).
  • Smart
  • 2+ years sales experience; previous experience selling complex technology/financial services to the private education sector is a plus.
  • Passionate about the customer.
  • Desire to grow personally and professionally.
  • Extremely polite, professional and customer-focused.
  • Must be collaborative, cooperative and willing to share information with the team.
  • Flexible; must be willing to grow and develop as the company continues to evolve and patient when dealing with customers.
  • Strong attention to detail; must be able and willing to document and keep track of all activity using a CRM system (Sugar).
